BNN News: Painting...

The kids were painting the meeting hall! Although I don't quite agree on the colors it is going to be worth it! The kids had their share of fun and I had my share by looking at them.
Previously, the NTU team from Singapore had scrub the walls outside and painted them. Now the kids did the inside of it. ( the walls were painted with mud last time!)
I'm sure this Sunday will have a different atmosphere! =)

Scenes from Laos

This is our third time entering Vientiane. This time was for the same reason, our visa.
We praise God that we're permitted to get an O visa! This means that we could stay for 3 months and with later extension, a year!
We traveled there by train ( it was comfortable!) and took another train which brought us arcoss the border. I was allowed to take some photos in the cockpit! Anyway, below are scenes from Laos that never fail to amuse me. There is always something unique around the corner. It just stands out!

DOULOS!

I was really excited while going up the stairs to the ship's deck. I was sure there was going to be books awaiting me to read them!
As you enter the deck, there was a huge crowd with a curtain of heat. No fans and body heat everywhere. But as I saw the books staring at me, my mind was turned over to them.
We found some really good books for great prices you'll never find!
As we left, a crew member handed out tracts and a booklet of the Gospel of John! =))
The trip was well worth it! I was happy enough to carry it with me to Laos too.

BNN News: Mother's Day Celebration!

Decorations all done and dances all prepared! It was a day where the kids thank God for their moms! Some parents came down for the celebration although most kids either have one side of their parents or none.
Mothers and a dad was up there giving advice and sharing about how BNN has
helped them.
Kids that don't have parents came to the staffs for a hug. Many of them were in tears, as I saw sadness in their eyes I teared.
But aren't we a big family? Love you all!
Pray for them as they're missing their parents love and that God will be their comforter and their refuge of strength!

Proud to be a Singaporean!

Today is National day in Singapore! It's 44th year of independence. Such a young country some of you might say, but to me it's my country where I was born and brought up. In fact, the President has never changed since I was born. Haha!
Today we got to watch the Parade and celebration live on the internet. The connection was real good today and we got to watch the whole thing without the internet lagging. Thank God! =)

Aaragon's catch!

Aragon has catched flies, birds and his favourite-frogs. This was his first catch of something different, a RAT! A HUGE RAT! I've never saw such a big one, it must have been eating alot.
It reminds me of this movie called "Ratatouille". Rats cooking up delicious meals, talking and doing things like stealing. Anyway, here goes the photo!! Sorry if you're an fury animal lover, I am too, but just not rats! =))

Kids day out! =))

This was after their performance.
I'll let the pictures do the talking!

BNN News: Performance at BIG C!

The kids went to perform at BIG C ( big shopping centre 60kms away) at Chiang rai! They were natural actors and they were great!

They sang and did some magic tricks. They also did a mime that was very meaningful. It was about kids that were on glu sniffing and having Satan always at the back of them telling them to do sinful actions. The conclusion was about Khun Abraham ( the BNN director) bringing them to BNN shelter and telling them about Jesus and how they recived Jesus in their hearts! I was touched at how much the kids has grown in their faith. As people came to watch them, they were giving out tracts! =))

His love for us...

His love covers all wrong. His love is unconditional whatever is it. His love overflows.

Whether you're discourage by life's trials or whether you're under a mountain of assignments God's always there to make a way through it. Hitting a wall won't be the end of things, gain strength and go over it.

The verse for this blog comes alive again.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 " Be joyful always; Pray continually; Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
Be grateful for the circumstances that God gives us. Because you never know, He might want to mold us in character to a better person that will glorify Him.

Crazy weather

I've been experiencing crazy weather these few weeks! It was nice and cool with rain a few weeks ago, very hot last week and back to heavy showers again!

On a personal note, I've been busy studying and teaching the kids at Baan nana. Dad teaches the older kids and I teach the younger kids. Still, the age range is from 4-9! I was wondering if they were capturing anything I taught last week. I went back the next week and they suprised me that they remembered some words I taught! I was so glad and encouraged!

Bapti-sama ( Baptism)

31 Baan nana kids were baptised today! Praise God!
God showered His blessings by letting the rain pour. The Baptism was held in the rain.
Everyone armed with rain coats, umbrellas or some without.
One by one they went down into the pond and was baptised. As the rest wait for their turn,
they were shivering in the rain!
I thank God for changing the kids lives and drawing them to Him!
